Artist's Statement
"Art is the divine line to God.  Art is an expression of humankind and has been with us from the beginning of civilization.   I believe this need for visual communication is part of a vital need to feel alive - to document life - and to be a part of the life around us.   

I feel while I'm painting, during the act of creation, a primal connection with our civilization and more importantly with earlier civilizations.  This universal feeling transcends time and space. 

How does an artist live in our society and remain true to his/her work?  It's not easy.  I think it's a constant struggle to remain focused, not to lose faith to the fears and self-doubts.  I try to be in touch with my inner strength and courage, my soul.    
I believe art is surely a path to enlightenment.  Art will always be with us.  It is part of who we are."
